Why Oqbet Exists
Many Tigrinya speaking families in the diaspora are living between two worlds. At home, we carry faith, family honour, respect for elders, cultural memory, language, and deep responsibility. Outside the home, our families are shaped by Western education, media, technology, individualism, and fast-changing social values.
This creates an important question:
How do we build strong families that succeed in the West without losing faith, identity, dignity, and heritage?
Oqbet was created to answer that question. We offer practical, spiritual, cultural, and emotional guidance for families who want to preserve what is beautiful in our heritage while building healthy, respectful, and responsible homes in modern society.

Help Build
Stronger Tigrinya Families
Many diaspora families are working hard to succeed in Western society, but success alone is not enough. Without faith, identity, responsibility, and cultural memory, the next generation may inherit opportunity without roots.
